I'm banning all pictures of myself until I lose some weight in my face.

That is all.

Suzie Orman is no fun at parties

I mean really. It must be hard (well not for her, because she personally is rich) to get up in the morning and tell those who listen to her that we WILL lose our jobs, we shouldn't be spending at all, and put your money in a mattress or a savings account (Quick, which one has a better interest rate?).

Gah, her negativism is appalling. Being cautious now is reasonable and probably smart, but as someone else has said, our economy is based on spending. To stop spending would send the economy into a free fall. Crazy spending, yeah, stop that. But come on, we have to spend some.

Also, save. I'm trying to put 20 to 40 bucks aside a week for saving. Granted, its hard, especially when you live nearly paycheck to paycheck. I'm trying, though.

Racist Friend/Terrorism Suspect

So why does it seem worse that Zawahiri is now "criticizing Obama". I even found myself doing it. This guy kills people, lots of people, yet I was shocked that he called Obama a "house negro"? I guess, maybe, that this is the first real "criticism" that Obama has gotten. I know Republicans criticized Obama, but they were white/racist group that was supposed to criticize him. Because in this election, if you were non-black and criticized Obama, you were automatically accused of racism. My own family did it, so I'm not talking out of my ass. I guess I'm not used to honest, yet not very constructive, critism of him yet. And to think that I heard it on CNN. This quote, however:

"America has put on a new face, but its heart full of hate, mind drowning in greed, and spirit which spreads evil, murder, repression and despotism continue to be the same as always."

This quote from Zawahiri could have come straight from the Daily Kos.

On another note, do you think the Italian president really didn't get the fact that Obama was black when he called him "evenly tanned" or was he making a joke to make light of his race? I think the latter, but I guess I'm in the minority.

Sheesh, could I have used the word "criticize" more in this blog??

Post Election Bum-Out

I was doing OK. Granted, every election I'm always a little bummed because my party NEVER wins (I vote Libertarian). I was at the gym yesterday have a darn good workout. I was on the elliptical watching "The Green Mile" (btw, I have a HUGE crush on the guy that plays Brutus)

ANYWAYS.

I pushed the wrong button and switched the channel to Oprah.

My god, I've never felt so down. Here she was screaming and hollering about how "HOPE WON!!!". She was wearing her Hope Won! T-shirt and jumping up and down. Now, I get the black president angle. Its amazing. We have come a long way.

I just got kind of mad that if anyone else would have gotten elected, at least in Oprah's mind, that "hope" would have "lost". What is McCain? Some kind of gargoyle? How about a third party? Are they tossing puppies into traffic?

At least according to the popular vote, Oprah just alienated a little less than half of her audience.

That really got me depressed. Then I turned it back to Green Mile.

Work it Out, at Work

So since I'm stuck here for 12 hours and technically, I'm supposed to sit for those twelve hours, I brought my weights and my stair-stepper.

Awesome. Now just give me something decent to watch.
